George Washington Lee

He was born in Manila, Arkansas on February 20, 1933 to Robert Edward Lee and Ethyl Marie Mink.

He had a career in the service station and garage business for 40 years. He served in the US Navy and was a member of the Melrose Masonic Lodge #1294, Graham Lodge #20, and the Arabian Shrine Temple in Houston. George had a passion for family, traveling, hunting, western movies, and Crazy Horse.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annis Lee; his brothers, Orville Lee, James Lee, and Burt Lee; his sisters, Louise Warrington, Lois Young, and Suzie Hinojosa.

He is survived by his children, Leonard Lee and wife Tami, Carolyn Blackburn, and Cathy Lampe and husband Richard; grandchildren Lori Hukel and husband Danny, and Jason Lampe; Great-grandchildren Austin and Ashley Goodnight; brothers, Ben Lee, Lester Lee, and Robert Lee; sisters, Linda McKenzie and Deanie Smith, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation and services will be held at Forest Park Westheimer at 12800 Westheimer in Houston, Texas on Friday, December 1, 2017. Visitation will begin at noon followed by services at 1pm.
