

George was born on March 9, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY to George and Anna (nee Meyers) Menghi.
George received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Brooklyn College in New York. Upon graduation he was employed as a Chemist for American Cyanamid in Bound Brook, NJ. He later worked as a technical sales representative for American Cyanamid, which eventually brought him to California and then to Houston, TX. Upon retirement he worked as a consultant for Fortune, Inc.
George was a dedicated member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church. He was actively involved many of their programs, especially for the youth. The members of church were like family to him.
He was an avid baseball fan. His first team love was the infamous Brooklyn Dodgers who he continued to follow as the Los Angeles Dodgers during his time in California. When George moved to Houston, he became an Astros fan and attended games at both the “dome” and Minute Maid Park.
George is survived by his sisters Janice Bernard of Dallastown, PA and Joyce Flynn of Beacon, NY. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who cherished their Uncle George.
He is predeceased by his parents, his sisters Elsie Anderson and Betty Hopkins, and his brother Richard Menghi.
George will be deeply missed for his unwavering love and enthusiasm for life as well as his legendary sense of humor and wit.

George’s remains will be interred in New Freedom, PA.
