George R. Webster Jr.

George attended Waltrip High School graduating in 1964 then went on to attend the University of Houston earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He helped his father run Webster Machine Company in which made prolific valves for subsea drilling control systems that achieved many breakthroughs in design that continue to aid in increasing the world’s oil supply thereby enhancing the lives of all. His passions were riding motorcycles and airplanes. At one point he studied to become a pilot. He loved to read (makes sense giving his vast array of vocabulary).

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Maria E Webster; brother, John Webster; and countless nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, George Webster Sr; mother, Laverne M. Webster; brother, Michael Webster; and sister, Sally Kenard.

A visitation for George will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018, followed by a funeral service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
