Georgeann Wilson Eidman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved family on the 21st of December 2013. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on the 27th of February, 1944 to James Wilson, Jr. and Virginia Batchelder Wilson. Georgeann was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who cared deeply about her family. She was kind, graceful, generous, fun-loving and an avid volunteer.

Although born in North Carolina, Georgeann moved with her parents and younger brother to Houston when she was five and remained a Houstonian throughout her life. She attended Lamar High School and the University of Texas. She was a longtime member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church and Houston Country Club where she enjoyed golf with her boys and many evenings on the patio full of laughter with her girls.

Georgeann, affectionately called “Gigi” by her grandchildren, loved her family and enjoyed spending every moment with them. She always took great pride in the many milestones achieved by her children and grandchildren. Gigi hosted many wonderful, memorable family weekends at the beach house. From the age of three, she spent part of every summer on Balboa Island, California, her favorite place. Without any coaxing, her husband Greg’s favorite summertime retreat as well. It was a much anticipated and greatly cherished destination for the entire family. Celebrating life’s milestones was of paramount importance to Georgeann, and she required that all birthdays be celebrated on the actual birthdate – no exceptions! At the many holiday and family gatherings which occurred at the Eidman household, hearing Georgeann’s contagious laugh made everyone within earshot feel welcome and thoroughly at home. During these times, everyone around her knew they were in the presence of someone who knew how to celebrate life with joyful, loving and authentic abandon.

Georgeann was predeceased by her brother James Wilson, III and her parents, James and Virginia Wilson. She was also predeceased by her husband of thirty-six years, Kraft Gregory Eidman, affectionately known as “Grande” to their grandchildren and she was his “Snooks.” Their love never ended and now she is reunited with her beloved Greg.

Gigi is survived by her children, Mark Lynn Lester and his wife Elizabeth; Courtney Ann Eidman; and Kraft Gregory Eidman, Jr. and his wife Nicole. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Elinor Wingfield Lester, William Cromwell Corbusier Lester, Emma Grace Eidman, Kraft Gregory Eidman, III, and Mary-Claire Keck Eidman.
