Georget Giries Stephan

Georget Giries Stephan, 89, beloved mother and grandmother, our Teta, peacefully went with the Lord, her family by her side, on the 18th of October 2014. She was born in Ein Karem, Palestine to Hanna and Marguerite Giries, the third of eight children, on the 24th of February 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph, son Henry, and brother George. She is survived by her three children, John Stephen and wife Hiyam, Nelly Jabbour and husband Joseph, and Norma Knoebel and husband John. Teta was blessed with six grandchildren, Michael (wife Julie) and Betty Stephen, Joseph Stephan, Natalie (husband Justin Leung) and Michelle Jabbour, and Johnny Knoebel. Also, she is survived by six brothers and sisters and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. A devout Roman Catholic, Teta was our angel on Earth. She believed in the love of God and family and she will be deeply missed. She will remain in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a rosary service at 7:00pm at Forest Park Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road in Houston. Mass will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Rd in Houston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land, U.S. Headquarters, P.O. Box 29086, Washington, DC, 20017-9086.
