Georgia Belle Jones of Houston, Texas passed away on July 4, 2023 at the age of 88. She was born in 1934 in Thalia, Texas and later moved to Houston with her family.
Georgia held many positions throughout her working years. Elevator operator, store clerk, office manager, and her last and favorite position, teacher aide at her grandson Ryan's elementary school. She loved children and working with them gave her so much joy. Georgia also taught Sunday school when her own children were young.
Being a people person, Georgia never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone. She loved to bake, sew, and make jewelry; all of which she got the most happiness by giving away to those she loved.
Georgia is preceded in death by her parents George and Bertha Jones, her brothers Michael D. Jones and Lonnie F. Jones.
She is survived by her daughter Tena Wood and husband, son Travis Tyler Jr. and wife, grandson Ryan Ward, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Georgia is with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, whom she loved and depended on every day of her life.
