At the young age of 12, Georgia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a current member at Grand Oaks Church (formerly North Park Baptist Church) and previously a founding and long-time member of Greenwood Village Baptist Church.
She loved the many vacations taken with her family. In addition, she loved league bowling with her husband and friends, and volunteering at M.D Anderson Hospital running the "Jolly Trolley" with her good friend of many years, Sandy Crenshaw. Most important to Georgia were her Lord and Savior and her family.
Georgia is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Baird L. (Sonny) Sibley Sr., her sons Baird L. Sibley Jr., David L. Sibley, and Gregory E. Sibley, her parents and brother. She is survived by her children, Debbie Schoppe and husband Keith, Connie Grein and husband Melvin, Duwayne Sibley and wife Julie, daughter-in-law Debbie Sibley, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, Texas 77039. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 10:30 AM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home with a Burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
