It’s always a shock to see a familiar face depart this life, but this one hurts for me in particular as I have always quietly admired the genuine, kind, loving, and DEDICATED person that Gerald was. He was a man of unwavering dedication to his mother, and to his parish family. I now regret that I never told him what an outstanding example he set for me, and all who knew him.

“With Thy saints give rest, O Lord, to the soul of Thy servant.”

May his memory be eternal!

Gerald, Sharron, George and I grew up together as neighbors on Lucas Drive.  We were also cousins and dear friends.  I can’t remember a time that Gerald wasn’t part of our lives.  In Beaumont, Austin and Houston.   He had a heart for the Lord, a love for his family and friends, and a passion for all things Longhorns.  He was kind, considerate and dependable.  He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed.  

Gerald was such a kind gentle soul that made you smile every time you saw him.  It was such an honor to get to know him and work with him at Texas Art Supply. He will be truly missed by all. Peace be with him.

What a kind an gentle man. So polite and gracious and committed to doing a great job at TA.
We had great conversations and he loved his Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys with great passion.
I would sometime receive phone calls from his mom. And I would page a loving and devoted son. 
Bless you my brother and I’m so glad we shared life for a little while.

He worked with me when I was a manager of the graphics department at Texas Art Supply at the Montrose location. He was a sweet person & an honor to work with. He had a wonderful sense of humor. Rest sweetly my friend. My prayers go to his father & his entire family. 

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my cousin Gerald. He was good-natured, kind and a loving and devoted son.  I will always remember the gatherings at my grandparents home and the laughter, cheer and love he brought to our family.  May his soul be at peace and rest and may his Memory be Eternal!

I really can’t remember a time Gerald was not in my life. His dad was my dad‘s best friend and he, of course, best friend to my brother. People always think I’m the craziest, loudest person watching the Cowboys or the Longhorns. Nope. That award goes to Gerald. And I will miss his voice during the games. But I will remember it happily as well. 

He was truly a kind, gracious & gentle person. I will try to battle the anger within me that says this didn’t have to happen and focus on the good and happy memories we have and focus on ways that we can honor him as we go forward.... God Bless.

Gerald and his family have been life long friends to our family. We will miss his visits to Beaumont and being able to talk about the old days. God rest his soul and may his memory be eternal. 

We are very saddened to hear 
the passing of our good family and friend Gerald. He was one of the best and nicest person we have ever known, he was always smiling and interesting to talk to.  Our deepest and sincere condolences to the family and friends. He will be missed and remembered in our prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Gerald's passing. He was one of the nicest people I have ever gotten the pleasure to know. He always had a smile on his face and a friendly word. He loved his mother so much and was an excellent example of God's goodness and love. May he rest in peace.

Gerald and I and other young men of St. Micheal grew up during an interesting time. Gerald always and I mean always had a small on his face and was a joy to be around. All of the young men of the '50s and '60s were Altar Boys and Gerald was one. We helped Aunt Alice Baine get her and the church's Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets delivered and Joe Hadad would drive us from house to house. Gerald's very close friends Wolford Niezek and Mike Edd were there. Our early life centered around the church and all St. Micheal did and stood for. We would arm wrestle and just hang out for fun and fellowship. St. Micheal sponsored a Scout Troop, Troop 13 in 1964, and Gerald and cousins Sammy Angelo, Sammy Amaimo, Wolford Nizek, and his Dad, and few others attended Summer Camp up at Camp Urland in Woodville and they were an active group and the Staff really admired them and their Scout Spirit. Summer of 69 was Woodstock but we were not able to attend that but Labor Day of the same year and mostly the same groups came and played at the New Orleans Pop Festival and we all attended. I drove Amelia Callas 1965 Plymouth Valiant and six of us headed East. In the back were Wiford, Mike, and Gerald. in the Front was Rod Archer and his friend from South Park and I drove. We camped and enjoyed a really great time. Janis Joplin sang and we saw a new group, It's a Beautiful Day. Also, a surprise guest was Sammy Kershaw and he won the crowd over so much they did not want him to stop playing.  I would see Gerald from time to time as he would return to Beaumont. He was a Great Guy and Certain One of the Good Guys.......Your Friend Bucky

 I have such fond memories of Thanksgiving at Aunt Izzys with the whole family, laughing, eating and watching football. Rest in Peace.
