

He was born in Fort Worth, TX to Marilyn Joyce Flanagan and Gerald Isaac Sr on the 21st of January 1960.
He grew up in the DFW area. He attended North Texas State in Denton and then attended medical school at Southwestern in Dallas. He moved to Galveston for his residency in internal medicine where he met his wife Elizabeth Hedden.
They settled in Clear Lake where they raised two sons and maintained medical practices. Both retired in 2023.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 35 years, Elizabeth; sons, Trevor and John and John’s fiancé Alyssa Karpas; his sister, Georgia Kaye Sympson and her husband Michael and their three daughters.
A memorial service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 17th of November in the Jasek Chapel of Geo H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent grand foyer.
