Each anniversary of Gerald’s death will bring a flood of emotions running through your head. These emotions will be from the day you met, and include moments in your relationship AND family life. I pray that with each year that passes you gain strength AND peace. You were both blessed to have had the time together.

I remember when we first met at Ragbri he was quite. He helped my daughter when we camped together by working on her bicycle.  I will always have good thoughts of the people and the ride.  Doug 

Nam and I just watched the video and all our memories come back! Words can’t describe how we feel at this moment. It is unfathomable that you have now gone home to be with God, leaving all of us behind, anh Thai! 

I remember how you helped me buy my first ever bike, led me through many training sessions, showed me all the in and out of bicycling. You helped me do what I thought I could never do (a 45-mile ride, then a 60-mile ride and a 77-mile ride on my own).  We nicknamed and called you General Thai because you were like a general leading your troops through battlefield whenever we rode the bikes...You were happy whenever you were with your bike.

I remember how gentle and kind you were to all of us, how patient and generous you were, with your time. Always...

Anh Thai oi, God took you, another good man of Nhóm 100, to home with him. We can never ride a bike with you again. But I am sure you will always be watching over us from above, on the remaining long and windy path called life, until the day we can see each other again. In the house of the Lord. 

You are gone, but your memories remain! And whenever I ride my white bike again, I know you would be smiling from above.

Thuy, you have always been so supportive of me.  I have gotten to see your girls as they grew up.  Your caring spirit has been my blessing.  We have shared so many smiles.  You give of yourself to help others. I am with you in these challenging times.   

I will always remember the epic rides with Gerald either racing ahead of the pack or cruising along helping the slower riders. Gerald’s dedication to Thuy and the love that radiated between them as they shared their joy of the outdoors was an inspiration for all. 

Here we are talking to the donkeys. Gerald’s smile and laughter is the picture I will remember him by. He will be missed.
