I know this has been a difficult time for you.  You are a great daughter.  I hope you find comfort in knowing that you loved large and showed it in all that you did for your Momma. You are a good example for us all.  Tears are the washing of your soul and at some point the tears will stop for a little while.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Please know that your are in our hearts and minds and we are praying for you.

Dearest Uncle David and Gary Lee:  Aunt Gerry was such a positive influence in my life. I loved her as if she were truly my related auntie. She brought so many wonderful memories to my childhood growing up with Gary Lee. 

I can still remember the huge jar of peanut butter on the table with big table spoons left out for me and Gary Lee for snacks as we played outside during the humid summer days of Houston.  The wonderful smells of her kitchen as she cooked dinner for Uncle David. 

The time the local bully hit me in the head with an oyster shell and it was bleeding profusely, Gary Less was screaming like a banshee and ran to get momma and Aunt Gerry. Momma told her to get a "wet wash cloth." Aunt Gerry was so freaked out she brought a dry wash cloth and nearly passed our from all the blood! LOL. But Aunt Gerry sat there on the porch holding my hand, so tight it cut off circulation, until momma returned with some petroleum jelly and a wet cloth. She never left my side the whole time. Trying to smile, patting my hand. Saying it would be alright. He freckled round face was white as a ghost. But she comforted me.

I also remember going fishing with the Lucas family, going to my first wrestling matches, and to the drive in movies!  The best was the day we had a visit when I was VERY pregnant with the twins and Aunt Gerry told me I had always been "a good kid." It meant the world to me. No one had ever told me that before.  Because of Aunt Gerry I live my dreams.

I am just so sorry that I am so far away in California and I couldn't be there in her final days for her and your family. Please know I have been there in spirit and you in my prayers and thoughts.  God bless.
