She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Vicki Sans of Minneapolis; her son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Carla Sans of Denton; her daughter, Sharon Sans Lukish of Spring; her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Bobby Sans-Hinz of Magnolia; her grandson, Ben Lukish of Houston; her grandson Nick Sans of Grapevine; her grandson, Scott Sans of Minneapolis; her granddaughters Jennifer Abeln and Kimberly Kellum of Minneapolis; and ten great-grandchildren.
Geri was affectionately known as Rhee to her children and Gigi to her grandchildren. She was a beloved mother, a fabulous flower designer, a water color artist, and a volunteer Spanish teacher. People who first met her were immediately smitten by her beauty queen looks and her sassy, Southern charm; however, those who knew her intimately understood that she was more of a “stinkerbell” than a Southern belle. In fact, her husband, Frank, often referred to her as Contrary Geri, and her older sisters frequently commented that when Geraldine was born, they broke the mold, but that is an understatement because the reality is this: in a million years over a billion galaxies that overlap an infinite number of universes, there will never be another Geraldine because her uniquely flawed beauty can not be repeated except through the legacy of four children, five grand children, and ten great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid, all friends and family members will be notified regarding a celebration of Geri’s life to be announced at a later date when the possibilty of Covid spread is over.
