Gilbert Lee Hubbard, Jr. went on to be with the Lord on May 15, 2020 at home in the presence of his kids and closest family at the age of 64. He was born in Houston, Texas to Gilbert Sr. and Helen Hubbard, both who precededhim in death.

He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Dr. A. J. Hines of Garden of Gethsemane C.O.G.I.C until his passing. He then went to serve under Pastor Lloyd Butler, Jr. at Heights Providing C.O.G.I.C. He attended Kashmere Senior HighSchool. Later he went to serve in the U. S. Army where he was stationed in Germany from 1974-1976. Upon returning from the Army, he started a career with Sante Fe Railroad, U. S. Postal Service, Frito Lay and ended his career as a self contract driver.

Gilbert enjoyed fishing in his spare time and his side hustle as the scrap man! He thought he was the funniest person on earth always trying to make you laugh. “OH, NO!” Everyone knew his sweet potato pie was the bomb.

Preceded in death are his parents, Gilbert L. Hubbard, Sr. (Minnie), Helen Coleman (Junius); Son, Joshua Hubbard; Sister, Loretta Ann Coleman-Hall; Brother, Melvin Coleman and his Sister-in-Law, Gwendolyn Hubbard.

Gilbert leaves to mourn: Special friend, Kim Daughtry; Mother of his children, Ramona Victoria; Children, Lisa, Gilbert, III (Renee), Ashley (Deandria), Kadedra; Grandchildren, Kenja, Damon, Tierrah (Tiffany), Kymora, Jacob, Lauren, Jeremiah; Great-Grandchildren,Anthony, Brad, Josiah; Siblings; Clifton, Sr., Sheila (Charles, Sr.), Ronald, Sr. (Marsha), Valarie (Douglas, Jr.), Quence (La’Shawndra); Brother-in-Law, Jefferson Hall and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Extended family and friends.
