Ginny was born in Waukegan, Illinois on the 26th January 1945, to Jim and Helen Callahan. Soon after, the family relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas, where she spent her youth. Upon graduating from Mount Saint Mary Academy in 1963, she attended the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Here Ginny was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Home Economics in 1967.
During her time at U of A, she met her partner in love and life, Charles Wayne Lyman. Upon graduation, they were married and soon relocated to the Houston, Texas area, where Ginny began her career as a dietician.
Several years later, Ginny then turned her focus to motherhood, having three children of her own, as well as four grandchildren and several fur babies along the way.
Throughout her life she enjoyed several passions, including: sailing, traveling and sporting events (an avid Hogs fan to the end!). She also cherished long lunches with friends and weekends in the Texas countryside. Most of all, she will be remembered, for her kind and generous heart.
Ginny is survived by her children; Ashley Lyman Rosset, Christopher Lyman, and Matthew Lyman; daughter-in-laws April Lyman and Aubray Lyman; son-in-law Pier Rosset; and grandchildren Tully and Charles Lyman, Lake Lyman and Luca Rosset. As well as by her sisters Patti Bernstein and Cathy Utley, and bother-in-laws, Davis Bernstein and Scott Utley.
The family will gather for a private inurnment at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.
