Gladys Dell Springfield went to be with her Lord on February 14, 2016. She was born on February 16, 1917, in Santo, Texas, to parents William and Lavada Gillis. Gladys worked as an Avon Sales Representative. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her three children, Joy Cottrell and husband Ray, Lewis Godsey and wife Judy, Roy Springfield and wife Tawana; seven grandchildren: Charlie Kaiser, Brenda Littleford, Judi Fuller, Lisa Godsey, Tonya Pitts, Heather Lawrence and Nicole Springfield; eighteen great-grandchildren David Kaiser, Garrett Kaiser, Amber Kaiser, Brooke Arceneaux, Tiffany Hausner, Brandon Hearron, Tracey Hearron, Jordan Fuller, Weston Bruce, Peyton Fuller, Jessica Sisney, Chasey Pitts, Chance Pitts, Jason Pitts, Makayla Lawrence, William Lawrence, Samantha Lawrence, and Deacon Springfield; eight great, great-grandchildren and Sister Opal Mefferd.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
