

1952, to the late Joe Addie Jackson (Joe Punkin) and Winell
Johnson. He departed this life on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
Glen was the oldest of 12 Children.
Glen graduated from Brenham High School in 1971 and
subsequently enlisted in the United States Army, where he served
as a Medical Specialist. His military career included assignments in
Germany, Alaska, and Killeen, Texas. Following his service, Glen
transitioned to a career as a truck driver, dedicating over 15 years
to this profession. He was deeply committed to his community,
particularly his church, St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, and
loved time spent with family, often engaging in cookouts and games
of cards and dominoes. Additionally, Glen had a profound love for
old school music and a passion for football and basketball.
In 1972, Glen married Delores Marie Jackson, and to this union
came Cynthia Rena Jackson, Glen Ramon Jackson, and LaToya
Samonia Samuel.
He is preceded in death by several family members, including his
grandmother, Annie Lee Hicks; his father, Joe Jackson; his mother,
Winell Johnson; his siblings, Nelda Jackson-Zollicoffer, LaKenna
Jackson, and Jerold Jackson; his uncles Gus Johnson and James
Johnson; his aunt Dorothy Jean Phillips; grandson, Anthony
Samuel Jr., and his granddaughters, Cavanna Crockett-Howard
and Harmony Jackson.
Glen was a loving Companion, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, and
Nephew. He leaves a lifetime of precious and loving memories to
his beloved wife, Delores Jackson, and his cherished children:
Cynthia Jackson (Eric Smith), Glen Ramon Jackson (Brittney
Jackson), LaToya Samuel (Anthony Samuel, Sr.), and his great aunt,
Doris Sims. His legacy extends to his siblings: Sharon Williams,
Gwendolyn Williams, Joanne Gilbert-Manuel, Betty Jackson,
Curtis Gilbert, Charlie Gilbert, Willie Gilbert, Ella Mae Jackson,
Adam Jackson, Anthony Gilbert, and Aldonia Gilbert. He also
leaves behind a treasured group of grandchildren: Keontae
Jackson, Xavier Walthall, A’Rayeal Anderson, Trejon Anderson,
Mariah Samuel, Dominic Samuel, LaTrell Jackson, Michael Brown,
Brittany Wilson, Asia Haynes, Glen Ramon Jackson, Jr., Destiny
Crockett-Howard, and Charis Jackson. Additionally, he will be
fondly remembered by numerous nephews, nieces,
great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends who will carry his
memory forward
