Glenda Jean Spoonemore Brasher, 82, of Spring, TX, on September 20, 2025. She was born in Vidor, TX on August 22, 1943 to her parents Philip Jerome Spoonemore and Agnes Mae Smith Spoonemore. Glenda found Jesus Christ while attending service with her mother-in-law Melba Wheat at Prairie Gardens Baptist Church in Houston. She was baptized April 17, 1966. She lived her life in service to God, and then her family. She was a loving mother, wife and friend to many. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul.
She is preceded in death by her parents Philip and Agnes Spoonemore, her husband Gerald Brasher, her daughter Kelly Morgan, her sisters Iva Spoonemore, Norma Jones and Margaret Koska, and her brothers James “Bud” Spoonemore, Martin Spoonemore, and Melvin Spoonemore.
Glenda is survived by her son Johnny Wheat and his wife Belia, and her son Chris Wheat and his wife Tracy, and son-in-law Steve Morgan
Glenda will forever be remembered through her grandchildren Amanda Dawson and her husband Zac, Stephanie Chumley and her husband Ryan, Samantha Moulton and her husband Brady, Cannon Wheat, Gage Wheat, Ren Wheat, Laney Wheat, Archer Wheat, Bobby Vielma, Angela Vielma, Aaron Bazan, and extended family Chandel Moulton and her husband Blake.
Glenda’s legacy includes 6 great grandchildren Kennedy Dawson, Reese Dawson, Grace Moulton, Grant Moulton, Everett Chumley, and Bennett Chumley.
