Gloria M. Hernandez went to be with the lord on September 11, 2015. She was born on August 2, 1924 in Tivoli, Texas to her parents Ramon and Theodora Mayorga. Gloria celebrated 59 yrs of marriage to her late husband Joel R. Hernandez. A loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother survived by her son Mario Hernandez and his wife Thelma, daughter Gilda Hernandez, grandchildren: Brittny Hernandez, Rudy Salazar Jr. and Marsha Salazar, nine great-grandchildren, great-great grandson Zayden and nephew Leo Uresti and wife Paula. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandsons: Gabriel Salazar and Mark Christopher Salazar and sister Aurora M. Uresti.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 12:00 pm in the Grand Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home followed with a burial at the Houston National Cemetery with a gate time of 2:00 pm.
