Gloria Coffman Neathery

Gloria was born to Leonard and Fannie Coffman on June 19, 1924, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Vance, of over 74 years; her son Vance Jr. and his wife Charlsie; and her sister Jackie and her husband Robert. She is survived by her son Nolan (wife Connie); her daughter Anita (husband Marc); four grandchildren, Aaron (wife Selina), Kevin, Catherine (husband Gary), and Christopher; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Georgia.

Gloria was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed a full life here on earth and was a blessing to all those around her. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Girl Scout Troop Leader, and welcomed children into her home daily so that other mothers could pursue a professional career. She was a lifelong Eastern Star member, played the organ during church services, enjoyed playing pinochle and dominoes with friends and family, and in the past 6 years became a Bingo Queen at Brookdale.

Although she will be missed, it gives us great comfort to know that she is at peace and reunited with her beloved Vance.

A special thanks to all her caregivers and nurses who helped make her life more comfortable. Your love, compassion, and care were invaluable.
