Gloria H. Reed Eaker

Gloria H. Reed, age 72, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. She was born in Texarkana, Miller County on September 28, 1950. Gloria graduated from Amarillo High School. She attended Texas Woman's University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in May 1971. She then attended University of Houston College of Law and receiving a Doctor of Jurisprudence in May 1988. In 1992 she attended the College of State Bar in the Texas. Gloria was married to Lloyd William Eaker for over 20 years. She had a career in Law & taxes for H&R Block. She was a University of Houston Alumni Lifetime Member. She had a passion for traveling and collecting Elephants. She was also a supporter of the SPCA of Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Velaska G. Reed, father Hermon E. Reed Sr., and siblings, Hermon E. Reed Jr., Charles I. Reed, Elbert Lee Reed. A gathering for Gloria will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
