

Gloria Quintero Romeo, age 81, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Colonial Oaks Senior Living at Westchase of Lewy body dementia. She was the beloved wife of Ricardo T. Romeo of Sugar Land.
Gloria was born in Havana, Cuba on June 15, 1939, the only child of Francisco Quintero and Gloria Lesta. She was studying to be a lawyer at the University of Havana when her studies were interrupted and she had to immigrate to the United States in 1961. She married Ricardo in 1965 and had two daughters. Gloria was a devoted mother and had a special affinity with children. She was a devout Catholic and donated generously to numerous charities. She was a talented seamstress, homemaker, and poet. She loved books, music, travel and spending time with family. Gloria is survived by her faithful husband, cherished daughters Gloria Gogola and Monica Romeo, son-in-law Conglin Lu, and beloved grandchildren Grace, Alex, Teresa and Lucía.
A small Catholic service to honor Gloria's life and her unselfish contributions to her family was held on Monday, January 25th, at the Memorial Oaks Cemetery. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, or their favorite charity in Gloria Romeo’s name.
