Gordon Harrison Bozant passed away on May 24, 2018. He was born on October 4, 1956 in Houston, Texas to parents, Billie Jean and Warren Edgar Bozant. Gordon was the husband of the late Tina M. Bozant. He and Tina had one daughter, Leslie G. McNew. Gordon was very involved with FFA throughout his early years and the love of animals continued throughout high school. I don’t think there was an animal that Gordon didn’t show or love. He was a graduate of Sam Houston High School and continued his education at Sam Houston State to become an Ag Teacher. Gordon worked with his father in the family painting contracting business. At an early age, Gordon became interested in the electrical field, which in turn led to his ultimate achievement of Master Electrician. He worked for various electrical companies throughout Houston during his tenure. Gordon remained active as an electrician but made the decision to pursue his love of horses and eventually became the owner of Walnut Creek Ranch. In March 2017, Gordon married Marie Selby-Bozant and together they carried on their love of horses with the ranch. He loved to help kids, teach them how to raise & show horses and traveled around our great state and country with beautiful Quarter and Paint horses for many years. He donated thousands of hours to 4-H & FFA members and to the youth of Montgomery County Fair. He taught people how to work hard, try harder and fight until the end because you never know how many days you have on this earth. Gordon truly was the epitome of a true cowboy.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Billie Jean Harrison Bozant and Warren Edgar Bozant and wife, Tina Bozant. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Selby-Bozant; daughter, Leslie G. McNew and husband Jason; four grandchildren: Karleigh McNew, Wyatt McNew, Langston McNew, Jay McNew; two sisters: Valla Brossman, Vickie Chapman Kelly; two brothers: Robert Brossman and Donnie Adair; as well as numerous friends and other family members.
