Grace Marie Phelps

She was born December 13, 1925 in East Bernard, Texas to parents Fred William and Ollie Lee Ashford Caldwell. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend that will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters: Patricia Fowler and her husband Michael, Carolyn Reed and her husband Ed, and Lois Gilchrist and her husband Jim; grandchildren: George San Angelo, Katherine Neely, Jeremy Reed and Josh Gilchrist; great-grandchildren: Brittany Hooper, Trysten San Angelo, Beckett San Angelo, Maverick San Angelo, Gavin Clements and Nash Clements; great-great grandchildren: Elina Thomas and Xavier Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Marie is preceded in death by her husband Homer Phelps; sons: Harold McClintock and Melvin McClintock; parents; three sisters and one brother.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed by a burial in the Brookside Memorial Park.
