Dear family, please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. May Jehovah give you the strength to cope with your loss.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Ben by way of our Houston BMW Motorcycling Club, and our weekly Sunday morning rides.  Ben was a true salt of the earth, gentle soul who could always be counted on to do the right thing.  He was routinely considerate of and helpful to all that knew him.  Ben was a mainstay in our little troop of "Fast Friends"---and often the much-needed voice of moderation.  He will be missed and well remembered!  Hopefully, he will go easy on St Peter when it comes to the finer points of BMW GS Riding & Do-It-Yourself Maintenance (Haa!).

Ben was a valued member of our Sunday motorcycle riding group for many years.  He was always the first to offer help when needed, and never failed to amaze us with his riding skill.  He'll be greatly missed.

The BMW Club of Houston has lost a true friend and riding companion. One who loved to share the joy of riding with newcomers and old greezers alike. Both in the saddle and off resting, Ben was someone who you enjoyed being around. 
Your friendship and camaraderie will be missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to your family.

Ben helped me to become acclimated to the Post Office Maintenance Dept.after I was hired in the 1980's. His knowledge was very helpful to me and opened many doors. May God comfort those who remain to mourn his passing.

I have had the pleasure of working with Ben the past five years and will always remember what a kind man he was.  I will always remember his smile and how patient he was.  He will be missed by all of us but never, ever forgotten.

I only knew Ben a short time but he was the most soft-spoken, kindest man I have ever met.  Cynthia, my friend, you are always in my prayers.  Sending you all my love!!

We got to know Ben many years ago when we all worked at the main post office on Franklin in Houston. Ben was a mechanic; we were clerks.

The Postal Service was just tiptoeing into the computer era and Robert and Ben became part of those early efforts. Ben became the IS (Information Systems) manager, while Robert was a programmer. Those early computers were really primitive and Robert and Ben had their hands full setting them up and getting them to work. Ben's easygoing manner made it easier for both his employees and those he had to convince to use the newfangled machines. 

Ben quickly became a good friend. The three of us also shared a love of motorcycles and often swapped stories of our rides. 

As the age of computers swept in, there was a boom in computer jobs, and the pay was enticing. Headhunters called both guys regularly, and Ben decided to leave the Postal Service. Robert and I stayed there. I'm sure Ben would have been amazed at the changes in the department he helped found and develop.

Ben's wife also worked for the Postal Service, and she was a fine lady and friend, also.

Ben left a legacy of friendship and commitment. Although his loss has darkened our lives, there's a star that's shining brighter because of Ben.

I worked with Ben at the US Postal Service for many years.  He was one of the first coworkers to welcome me to the job and the first to offer his help to me.  We became friends through our job.  I learned much from Ben and will miss him.  He was a grand coworker!

My prayers will be with his family and I will always be grateful for Ben's friendship...God Bless!

Mr. Brandt was a very respectful, humble, and very caring man, a true gentleman.  I was blessed to have the honor of knowing this great man and working with him.  I remember some great conversations and some great advise that was shared with me, a very wise and brilliant man.  It was very difficult to hear that he was taken from us, but know that he is with our Lord and savior.  May our God be with the family.

Uncle Ben(Ben) was a free spirit in every thing he did. The twins will never forget when he rode his motorcylce down here and let them sit on it and wear his helmet. The helmet cover them but we took pictures.
He was always a gentleman and he enjoyed life.  His love for his wife and family will always live in my memories.  Thanks for letting me know you and to be your friend. Rest in Peace Gentle Ben.
