

Greg grew up in Middleton, Idaho where he played high school basketball and graduated with honors. He attended Ricks College for a year, after which he served a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Colombia. Following his mission, he attended Brigham Young University and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He met Donna Child in Caldwell, Idaho and they married on April 27, 1977. Greg had a career in accounting at ExxonMobil Corporation for 38 years, working in offices in the U.S., Buenos Aires, Argentina and Mexico City, Mexico.
Greg loved sports of any kind and was a natural athlete. He was a golfer and a fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors. He was active in scouting as a youth, obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout, and was a leader in the scouting program for many years.
Greg enjoyed traveling all over the world with his wife, Donna, and experiencing other cultures. He learned many valuable lessons from the people he met and befriended along the way which contributed to an expanded life view.
Greg was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many leadership positions and gave many hours of dedicated service to enrich the lives of others.
Greg loved his family and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Helen Jensen, and a sister, Pam Jensen Mullis.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; four children, Jared (Krista) Jensen, Grant (Maria) Jensen, Cole (Kera) Jensen, and Emily (Brian) Warnes; and seven grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Greg will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4021 Deerbrook Dr, Houston, TX 77339.
