Greg Miller, 72, passed away August 25, 2026. Born in Allenhurst, Georgia, Greg built a life full of hilarious adventures with stories from working at Federal Express until their insurance could no longer support his driving skills. While no one was ever hurt, the truck did beg for mercy! He retired from American Airlines where his twisted humor would allow him to use the death of his grandmother albeit five times so he could have holidays off to be with family. While most would frown on this, this was Greg!
As a young lad, Greg always knew he was gay often frolicking around the house with a mop on his head if not just for attention. He found that humor and a positive attitude would get him through life. This was Greg!
His humor was what got him through many health scares. And his positive energy is what will be remembered by all that had the honor of knowing him. Humor and laughter, that’s how we will remember Greg.
Greg was a creative artist, painter and decorator. He enjoyed working in his yard. And if you knew Greg, you knew he could pinch a penny. He bought used turf for his front yard with lots of nail holes not realizing weeds would come through. Having acknowledged that, he said it ‘looks more authentic’ and although he may not win yard of the month, he joked he would win ‘most weeds.’ Again, this was Greg!
Greg is preceded in death by his mom, Kay Ann who made him accountable to himself. His dad, John Gordan who learned to be accepting of Greg as life went on. This may not have made Greg enjoy all those fishing trips more, but he did relish the acceptance and the love he knew his dad had for him. Brother John Russell and sister Robin.
He is survived by his brother John Bradley (Ramona), Nieces and Nephews; Jeremy (Betsy) Jack, Addison, Dustin (Ashley) Briggs, Palmer Kay, Kara (Hart) Huck, Piper, Junie Rae, Ryan (Jennifer) Nora, Coltyn, Kaleb, Dakota, Nikki (Shane), Christian.
Greg leaves behind a lifetime of hilarious memories and antics, laughter and love to all the lives he touched. His absence will be deeply felt. His love and memories he created with family and friends will live on forever.
