I'm sorry that I didn't know about this until now.  To Gail, Eric, David, and the rest of the Burns family, you have our sympathies.  I have a couple of lasting memories of my time with Greg when I was a child.  May he rest in the peace of the Lord.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you on this sad occasion. Greg was a sweet nephew we loved dearly and 
saw frequently when he lived in Massachusetts. Time and distance made it difficult to stay connected later on.  We're sad about that, but, we will always have memories to cherish, especially his need for day old popcorn, which he always requested the day it was made fresh.  Some had to be put aside for Greg for the next day!

Greg Burns is gone. It is still hard to believe. We started together in 1st grade at St. Rose of Lima and finished at St. Thomas High School. There are so many memories, it is hard to choose. Greg was a gifted artist, a skill he inherited from his father.   In grade school, he would design futuristic automobiles. He was a natural to enter the field of Advertsing. Greg was a lady's man.  Greg had girlfriends in about 3rd grade when the rest of us were playing marbles. Greg liked music and liked to dance. Greg taught me how to do "The Whip." Greg was a good athlete.  Baseball was probably his best sport.  Greg gave up sports, at the age of 15, after he fell in love with Gail Lattimore.  Gail would later become his wife.  When I think of Greg I will remember "Home-run derby" in my backyard.  I will remember Oaks Dads' baseball and Doyle's delicatessen. I will remember CYO dances at St. Rose.  I will remember "Sock-hops" at St. Pius and St. Thomas.  I will remember double-dating and drive-inn movies. Most of all I will remember all the laughter we shared about people, events, and ourselves.  Now Greg has crossed the great unknown and awaits us in the next world.  Farewell, my good friend.

Jenny and Family

Carolyn and I just heard and are deeply saddened.  Greg was always kind and generous to us.  We were out of town last week and did not hear until today.  I will really miss his friendship, sympathy and compassion.  What a loss for all of us.  

May our loving and merciful Lord shine his perpetual light on Greg.

First met Greg when he was in my car pool.Had much fun taking him to St. Thomas High School in my ol'55 Chevy...

I was very sad to hear about Greg.  
I talked to him about two weeks ago and sensed he was not doing well. I have known and liked Greg since high school days and remained connected with him over the many years. He was a talented and generous man. In 1999, shortly after I started the non profit Bridges To Life, Greg offered to design and donate a logo for us. He did a wonderful job and we still use exactly what he created for us.  It is greatly appreciated. 

I sincerely regret that I did not find out about Greg's death until Monday afternoon, too late to attend the services in memory of my friend Greg Burns. My prayers are with his family.

Over 40 years ago, Kathy and I had the pleasure of meeting Greg and Gail in Austin during our college days at St. Ed's.  As a matter of fact, several of us lived at the same apartment complex.

We will always remember Greg as a wonderful, fun-loving, gentle person.

To the family of Greg Burns: I was so saddened to read of Greg's death. I was a classmate of Greg's when we were at St. Rose of Lima. Greg was actually my "first kiss" in the 5th grade! I had a huge crush on him (and his adorable little fat cheeks)at the time and over the years often wondered where life took him.
