Gretta Marie Jones

Gretta worked for many years in the Medical Center for both St. Luke Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center in their credentialing departments being sure our city’s doctors met the standards for their respective fields of medicine until she became ill about 5 years ago. She was cared for by her family in her parents’ home until it became necessary to seek professional care for her needs.

She is survived by her only son, Jeremy G. Jones (Glenn Jones, father). Her four sisters, Sherri E. Groce, Barbara A. Tanner, Darlene and Marlene Jackson. Her brothers James E. Jackson and Gerry L. Jackson also cherish her memory. Her brother Terry G. Jackson preceded her in death.

She is loved by her nieces Jaime E. Jackson, Latisha Jackson, Brooke E. Tanner, Ashley R. Scott, Brea N. Groce, Kerri E. Johnson; Great Nieces Jovial and Colette.

She is equally loved by her nephews Brandon L. Jackson, Joseph C. Jackson, Jordan C. Tanner and Tyler X. Tanner. Great nephews Maximus, Jeremiah, Uriah and Jacob.

As a member of the Forest Brook High School class of 1978, a plethora of classmates mourn her passing. A great thanks to her class as they made it possible for her to enjoy her 40th class reunion in a regal way. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time and taking pictures that night. Gretta’s memory is etched on the hearts of family and friends. We love you always, Gretta.
