Guia was a wonderful, caring, loving, thoughtful and protective person. She could start a conversation anytime, anywhere and she just had the ability to light up the room wherever she went. She was also intelligent, witty, and genuine.

Guia and I had been close friends for more than 25 years; we worked together and had developed a trusting bond like no other. We remained close in our hearts even after Guia had moved back to Houston. We kept in touch mainly through texting but Guia was very thoughtful and she would always take the time to write me a birthday card and Christmas card every year. Guia was very protective of her friends too. I remember we were in the office one day in Universal City, CA and the ground started shaking. I was pregnant then and my dear protective Guia yelled from her cubicle to tell me to take cover. She was more concerned for my safety than her own. That’s the kind of person she was; always caring, always protective.

It broke my heart to learn that you, my dearest friend Guia, are gone. A big “thank you” for your beautiful presence in my life. It was both a blessing and an honor to know you and be your friend. I treasure your loving memories and you will stay in my heart forever.

Last but not least, I would like to send my heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Doddie, Donald, Derek and the entire family. I share in your pain and sorrow but I also know that we now have a dear angel watching over all of us from Heaven. Her beautiful name is Guia.

May You Rest In Peace, Guia, my dearest friend. You will be sorely missed.

With Deepest Sympathy

Mama Guia was like a second mother to me. She inspired me and pushed me during those times when l needed someone to uplift my spirits. I would always remember the smile on her face and her contagious positivity. I will never forget you Mama. You will always be in my heart. It breaks my heart that l won’t be able to see you for the last time. I find comfort in knowing that you are now with our creator. I love you Mama.
