

Guy was born in Ada, Oklahoma on the 11th of March 1927. He was a Boy Scout, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He played football in high school and was an accomplished athlete. He attended West Point, and graduated from The University of Oklahoma, and remained an avid Sooner fan.
He lived in New Jersey before moving to Texas. He married the love of his life, Lorene, in 1957. Together, they traveled the world, living in England and the Netherlands, and visiting many other countries. Guy was an accomplished woodworker, building beautiful furniture and crafting toys that were donated to charities.
Guy was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene, his parents, Guy and Gertrude, and his brother, Robert.
He is survived by his son, Dave Meaders, daughter, Linda Meaders Wilson and her husband, Simon Souness-Wilson, and grandson, Tristan Souness-Wilson and his fiancé, Taylor Savoie.
A memorial service is to be conducted at half-past ten o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 2nd of June, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where the Rev. Ann Spears, Pastor of First Methodist Downtown is to officiate. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent grand foyer.
