Dearest Cau Son,

I can't believe you are gone. I regret so much not reconnecting with you just to tell you, thank you!

Thank you for being such a good brother and friend to mom. Thank you for saving us with all your generosity over the years. Thank you for visiting, spending time, and creating funny memories with us when we were kids. We will never forget you.

We will take care of mom and try to fill the void in her life now that you are gone. It won't be easy because she lost her best friend. Please watch over mom. Let her know that you are in a better place now and reassure her that she will see you again.

Until we meet again dearest uncle, rest in peace.

I love you,

Be Ba

One time Cau Son came over to visit us, he went and purchased a huge poster of Madonna's face, and plastered it right above my bunk bed, I had to fall asleep staring at her huge mole for a long time!

Cau Son never cooked much but while he was visiting he decided to take a crack at Thit Kho, it wasn't salty one bit but mostly sweet, being 4 or 5 I thought he's sweet version of Thit Kho was delicious.

Sorry, I didn't make more of an effort to keep in touch but from what my memories tells me, is that you were kind, generous and fun and the only uncle I could speak proper english with.

You will be missed, and I'll keep these memories of you in my heart. Rest in peace Cau Son, we will meet again.

It’s still hard to accept the fact that you’re gone.

I'll never forget the adventures we had when you came to visit us.
You were always the fun uncle that took us on play dates to the movies and were never shy to voice your love of Madonna (considering you tried to name me after her lol).
You were always full of life and your heart so pure and kind.

Your infectious smile and your fun, loving personality will continue to live on in our hearts.

I’m sorry that I didn’t make a better effort to keep in touch with you after all these years so that you knew you had a niece that still remembered you and thought of you often.

Rest in peace my beloved Uncle David. Until we meet again.
