Harlen Frank Seidel Sr.

Born September 14, 1936, in LaGrange, TX, to Emil and Elsa Seidel, who pre-deceased him, he was one of nine children. He is survived by his four brothers Emil, Jr., Eugene (Marie), Clifford and Francis (Lynda) Seidel and four sisters, Bertha (Vernon) Karstedt, Harriet (Beno) Machala, Lucy Stover and Kathleen Pulido, and their families.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Seidel, his sons Harlen Seidel, Jr. (Darla), Franklin Seidel (Erin), Step-children William Baker (Deborah), Gerald Baker (Michele), Monica Parfitt (Mark), Cynthia Chupik: Grandsons Daric Ray Mazzochette-Seidel, Elijah Mazzochette-Seidel, Step grandsons Joseph Luera, Gerald Baker, and Andrew Baker (Heather); granddaughters Sidney Seidel, Step granddaughters Mary Eutough, Jennifer Wright, Jessica Wright (Matt), Janice Sherman (Ian), Monica Dowling (Mike), Rita Sprayberry (Jarrett), Angelica Facundo (Hugo) and Ashley Caraballo (Carlos), and numerous great-grandsons and great- granddaughters. He is also survived by one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and their families, and former daughter-in-law, Jackie Mazzochette-Seidel.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm, followed at 7:00 pm with a Rosary, at the American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038 (281)445-0050.

Funeral Service will be Friday, at 1:30 pm at American Heritage Funeral Home and military burial services will follow at the Houston National VA Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038 (281)447-8686.
