Bielamowicz, Harold Wayne

“Harry”

On Thursday, April 11, 2019, Harold Bielamowicz, son, brother and uncle joined his Heavenly Father at the age of 55. Harold will be forever remembered by his parents, Robert and Virginia Bielamowicz, Sr., and by his sister and brothers, Frances (Ben) Matula, Robert (Louise) Bielamowicz, Jr., and Norman (Rhonda Jo) Bielamowicz. Harold will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, great nieces and great nephews.

On December 31, 1963, Robert and Virginia were blessed with a special and wonderful angel that would forever change their lives. Harold was born with Down’s Syndrome. He was a delightful, easygoing child who grew into a well-loved and admired adult. He accomplished many things- receiving his diploma, participating in Special Olympics, applied his skills in a workshop and eventually worked in a cafe. Many of his days were spent volunteering alongside his Dad at the food pantry at Assumption Catholic Church.

Harold was a devoted fan to all Texas sports teams. When motorcross or wrestling came on tv, he would light up with excitement.

Harold was most passionate about his family and friends. Spending weekends and going to sporting event with his life-long friend, Brian Wilson, were some of his favorite moments. He was enthusiastic about music, singing, dancing, playing instruments and shooting pool. It was not uncommon for him to approach a stranger to initiate an arm wrestling match.

God put Harold in all our lives- and all others who were fortunate to cross paths with him- for a reason. We all needed him as much as he needed us. That infectious smile and that laugh. That kind and loving heart. Without knowing someone like Harold probably makes it difficult for many to understand just how wonderful and life changing Down’s Syndromes are.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm and a Rosary will be held at 7 pm, Sunday, April 14th at Brookside Funeral Home, 3410 Cypress Creek Pkwy, Houston, TX 77068.

Gravesite service and burial will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, April 16th at Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.

Celebration of Life honoring Harold will be held at the Bielamowicz home. Further details will be announced at a later date.

Harold, where do I begin. Even though you are not physically here, you are with me. My heart is aching, so I try to think of all the many friends and family that you are now with, and I am comforted. Thank you for being my inspiration and making me the person that I am today. I will forever love you. I will forever be your Sissy❤
