

Harold "Hal" Merritt, age 74, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 2, 2021. Harold was born on September 9, 1946 at the Heights Hospital in Houston, Texas to parents Floyd and Bernice Merritt. He went into the army after graduating from Reagan High School in 1963. Harold was a retired computer analysist and was a council member for the City of Todd Mission. He was also a member for Amateur Radio, Bridge Club and would provide support during the Air Show and MS150. Some of Harold’s favorite things were electronics, traveling, spending time with family, radios, trains, big machines and was a wine enthusiast.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Bernice Merritt; and brother-in-law, Dan Martin. Left to cherish his precious memory is partner, Peggy Dill; daughter, Kathy Clifford and husband Ron; son, Kent Merritt and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Zachary and wife Stephanie, Joshua and Kristen; great grandchild, Lydia Merritt; and sister, Susie Merritt Martin.

A visitation for Harold will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home.
