Harry Bert Travis, age 87, of Tomball, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. He was Born in Houston, Texas on December 28,1935 to parents William C. Travis and Mary Ellen Andrews Travis. Harry served in the Army for several years and later met Jackie Travis at Prince's Drive In, through a friend. They married on September 1, 1961.
He was employed with Dillard’s for 15 years and was known as a very dedicated employee. Lomas and Nettleton where he had a career in Data Processing for many year. Harry had a passion for metal detecting, oil painting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jim Alan Travis.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Jacqueline Travis; son, Jack Travis; daughter in-law, Shannon Travis; grandsons, Cameron Travis and Anthony Clark; grand-daughters, Aubree Travis, Alexis Bounds, and Amber Clark and Great-Granddaughter, Ariella Clark.

A visitation for Harry will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A committal service will occur Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park. Officiating services will be Chaplain Chandra Adams.
Serving as pallbearers are Jack Travis, Cameron Travis, Anthony Clark, John Ward, Stanton Tondre and Jared Dixon.
