
Hazel Marylin Renfro passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the age of 84 years. She was born on April 24, 1926 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Houston. Marylin was employed by St. Joseph’s Hospital for 30 years serving in various administrative positions before her retirement. She graduated from Reagan High School and was a lifelong resident of the Houston Heights area. Marylin was a faithful parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church and was proud to be a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, Annunciation Fraternity.
Survivors are: sister-in-law, Mary Sue Renfro Zimmerman; niece, Lynn Renfro Mylius and husband, Ron; nephew, Barry Lee Renfro and wife, Sharon. Also, five great nieces and nephews, Lisa Mylius Brian and husband, Young; Kyle Vann Mylius; Wade Alan Mylius; Jennifer Renfro Brownson and husband, Craig; and Clinton Lee Renfro and wife, Amber. Also, great great nieces and nephews, Emma and Lyndsey Mylius; and Nathan and Jacob Brownson.
The family would like to thank faithful friends, Mary Dean, Catherine Swilley, and Sister Eleanor Dickmann who provided assistance and care over the years. A very special thank you is extended to caregivers Lisa Huesca and Rebecca Gomez.
Serving as pallbearers, Barry Lee Renfro, Ronald Vann Mylius, Kyle Vann Mylius, Wade Alan Mylius, and Clinton Lee Renfro.
The family will receive friends 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4419 North Main Street, Houston, TX 77009. Mass of the Resurection will be at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Garden of Gethsemani at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
