Helen Maurine Duncan passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Tennessee. Mrs. Duncan was born on December 14, 1918 to F.H. and Helen Maxwell in Hempstead, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Glen Duncan; brothers Fred Maxwell and F.H. Maxwell, Jr.; daughter Glenda Ward; and grandsons, James Ward and Martin Ward.
She began her business career in 1930's Houston, she was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone, SWBT Pioneer, and Foley's, Houston. She ended her working career at Walmart, with 20 years service, at 92 years of age.
Grandmom leaves to cherish her memory Granddaughters, Linda Massey and Rima Lane; Great Grandchildren Kristin Duncan, Corey Holt, Aaron Holt, Martin Wauford, Sawyer Lane, Philip Ward, Cheyenne Ward, Crockett Ward, Bowie Ward; Great Great Grandchilden Christopher Holt, Jordan Richmond, Jamey Duncan, Khloe Wauford, Karleigh Wauford, and Jami Ward and Glen Langford. She will be missed by all who loved her. The services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Friday, at Brookside Funeral Home in Houston.
