Helen M. Hobbs passed away on December 4, 2012. She was born in Galena, Illinois on August 4, 1925 to Clarence and Mabel Altfillisch. Helen was raised in Tucson, Az. In 1946 she married Charles W. Hobbs and moved to Houston in 1953 where they lived, worked, and raised a family. Helen worked as a bookkeeper and had her own business for over 30 years.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Mable Altfillisch, her brother Jim, sister Joanne, and her husband Charles.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Wiggins of Edgewood, WA, Mary Anne Casey, Sally Hobbs, and Steve Hobbs of Houston, grandchildren Shannon Hobbs of Houston and Brandon and wife Kelly Wiggins and their children Trace and Roen, of Edgewood, WA, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family members.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, on the corner of Dairy Ashford and Westheimer. Donations may be made to a charity of choice in memory of Helen Hobbs.
