I think she was the strongest woman I ever knew. I only hope I can fill her shoes some day.

Aunt Helen,  the love you shared with everyone will forever be in our hearts, the memories in our minds eyes and the laughter in our own ears. Till we hug again

Oh my Aunt Helen, you had so much love to share. Always an open door and always a bed to share. My beautiful, gentle and sweet Aunt Helen. Your passion in life was always Children. Any Child that was in need that you knew about, you were always there to help. You always had time to listen to my  problems. And if asked had good advice to share. Never judging, never condicending. Always there when needed. Now, just what am I going to do when I need your listening ear and sound advice? It feels like I lost my mama all over again. You never asked anyone for anything and never held a grudge
when someone did you wrong or hurt you. You were a woman with many talents and many qualities.  When you went to Heaven I can only imagine the many rewards Jesus had waiting for you. I am missing you so much already. I am looking forward to the day our whole family is reunited in Heaven. Your 1st. Neice.

Aunt Helen was a big part of my young life. I was such a bad girl. MoMA used to call Aunt Helen to take me to school when I wouldn't  go. But Aunt Helen always got me to go and I knew I had better stay there. When I got my ears pierced she brought me my first pair of earrings. I would reather be at Aunt Helen's than at home. Love you Aunt Helen

It was pure joy and love taking care of you for the last 2 years. I started as your nurse and became your adopted daughter. I have not met anyone more straight forward and honest (say it as it is) as you Mama. Your heart is kind and pure.  I feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to care for you  this past 2 years, and more so for your trust. 
I love you and miss you Mama.

Nana,
My most prominent memories of you are out in the back yard at Grandma's "old house." You were always back there pulling the dead leaves and flowers off of the plants. I never really knew why you did that, but you always did. Grayson just started a garden at our house, and I find myself pulling the dead leaves off of his plants. I still don't know why you did that, and have never looked into a reasoning, but you always did it, and now I do too. 
You were always back there telling me about angel kisses, and calling me "Katie Becky" or "Katie Bell," even though my mom said she spelled my name the way she did so no one could make nicknames out of it.  You didn't care though, and neither did I.
I know nobody will ever be able to replicate your chicken and dumplings, and I still tell people about your beef jerkey as Christmas gifts---wrapped in your signature Walmart sack. We always knew we were getting the best kind of gift when we saw those, as kids. 

I love you, and hope you are resting easy. 
My thoughts and prayers for comfort and healing during this difficult time go out to the family members that were much closer to sweet Nana than I was.


If I could just see  and talk to you one more time. I miss you so much.

 Aunt Helen was a special lady.   She was good to me and took me in after my high school years. Moving to Houston-the big city was scary. She put me in uncle Jimmy's old roofing truck to drive. What a life experience. Boy howdy, she and I had good times eating Chinese food and working together at the truck stop.She always gave me good advice, in the manner only she could with her personality. Her famous words.."what the hell leroy" She loved her grandkids, but David was her special boy. She spoiled him rotten. I loved her like a Mother, she came from the same tree as my Mother. Granny ,Paw-paw ,Aunt Jean , Momma and now Aunt  Helen are all together again. The Clicks in heaven, what a reunion. I will miss her always, but in my heart she will stay..RIP, until we meet again <3

RIP SWEET LADY, U WILL BE DEARLY MISSED, IT WAS SUCH A PLEASURE TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE CARE OF YOU.. STAFF AT SILVER SPRING HOME HEALTHCARE.

You will be missed Aunt Helen,You are now free from the troubles here on earth.You now have your wings,until we meet again.Prayers to the Family in this time of passing,May God continue to guide you.Many great memories were made.
