

Henry George Gilblair (August 23, 1926 - March 17, 2024)Henry George Gilblair, was born in Suffolk County, Boston, Massachusetts, passed away at the age of 97. Born on August 23, 1926, Henry was the oldest of four children and outlived his siblings.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn Gilblair. Henry was a cherished brother to Glenna Naples (Jim), Norman Gilblair (Dorothy), and Lorraine Whalen (Les). He was the son of Ida LaBrasseur Belfiore and Henry Jack Gilblair (Jack).
He is survived by his three sons, Gordon (Teri), Steven and Adam, his two daughters, Sheri Bowling (John) and Sheila Harrison (George), grandchildren, Josh, Heather, Ginger, Kristina, Matthew, Brian, Brandi, Abbie, and Savannah, and great-grandchildren, Lucas, Emily, and Hannah.
Henry proudly served his country in the Army during World War II and the Korean War. As a Supervisor of Engineer Equipment, he played a vital role in the maintenance and upkeep of transportation chauffeur vehicles for the Generals. His dedication and expertise earned him the rank of 1st Class ERC-CE Sergeant.
Henry's military service was marked by numerous achievements, including being designated an Expert Rifleman (M1), receiving the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Service Medal, serving in the Korean War in Manilla, P.I, earning the American Theatre Ribbon, WWII Victory Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal in Japan and Germany.
Outside of his military service, Henry was a loving father, husband, and proud owner of Frenchy's Welding Machine Repair Service. Specializing in diesel and welding services, he was known for his skill, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
Henry's legacy of kindness, generosity, and love for his family will be cherished forever by all who knew him.
