On September 20, 1951 God Blessed Henry Porter and Ola Mae Morris with a baby boy; in Houston, Texas. His name was Henry Porter Morris, Jr. He attended Booker T. Washington High School and afterwards joined the Houston Police Department in 1979. Where Henry devoted 30 years of services to his community before retiring.
But not before Henry met Valend Chenevert, the love of his life. They were united in Holy Matrimony in 1977 and continued their union up until his departure. That’s 44 years of unconditional love. He loved his family,fishing, and bar-b-q’d the world’s best ribs-- undisputed. Henry lived in Houston until 1982; then he moved to Tomball, Texas where he lived out the remainder of his life with his loving family.
On February 27, 2021; Henry Jr., transitioned to Eternal Peace. He leaves behind: with love his Wife of 44 years, Valend Chenevert-Morris. Four Daughters: Vernchell Chenevert, Valena Osei, Ahura Chenevert, and Ola Woods. Two Sons: Richard Morris and Noah Morris. Two Brothers: Earnest Morris and Phillip Morris. Two Sisters: Donnie Fay Johnson and Queen Morris Jackson. Four Sister-in-laws: Linda Miles, Donna Fay Chenevert, Glenda Chenevert, and Mebeline Chenevert. Five Brother-in-laws: Joseph Chenevert Jr., Ivy Chenevert, Curtis Jackson, Van Miles, and Steve Pipken. Fourteen: Grandchildren; Eight: Great Grandchildren; a host of Nieces & Nephews; relatives, and friends.
Preceding Henry Jr., in death is his loving Mother and Father.
