Hank graduated in 1950 from Texas A&M in chemical engineering and worked for Gulf Oil Corporation for most of his career.
He is preceded in death by wife of 63 years, Barbara Lauhoff Vornkahl. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Greg and Marilyn Vornkahl, Mark and Karen Vornkahl, and Susan and Hilliard Paige, Jr. He leaves behind six grandchildren: Michael Henry Vornkahl, Jennifer Lynn Vornkahl, Travis Wall Vornkahl, Henry Wall Vornkahl, Hilliard Wegner Paige III and Ryan Henry Vornkahl. He is also survived by his brother Leroy Vornkahl and wife Pat, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in Bellville, TX at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery at 2 p.m. on June 27, 2015. Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville is in charge of arrangements.
