Mr. Herbert Ralph Pete Sr.

Herbert Ralph Pete Sr. was born on November 7, 1947, in Houston, Texas, and departed this life on May 12, 2026.

Herbert, affectionately known as “Pete,” accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Pentecostal Church of God in Christ. He later became an ordained minister in 2009. Pete was strong-minded, memorable, and truly one of a kind. He lived life in his own way and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved him.

Pete married Mary Simon, and together they built a life centered around faith, family, and love. From this union, 3 children were born: Tammika, Troy & Herbert Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Margaret Gibson and Willie Pete, and his sisters, Sylvia Luchin and Edith Gibson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Mary Pete; daughter, Tammika Pete; sons, Troy Pete Sr. and Herbert Pete Jr.; brothers, Kenneth Gibson, Josh Gibson, Brian Gibson, and Calvin Gibson; sister, Emma Randolph; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
