At a very low point in my life, it was Herman who lifted me up. His kindness and generosity, I shall never forget.

Long ago I was a fan of Detering Book Gallery, which was an important place for me at the time.  It fed my love of reading and beautiful books. My sincere respects to Herman's wife and family.  I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
