Herminia Ortiz Johansson, 51, of Katy, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Hermie was born in Manila, Philippines on December 24, 1960 and after many years of global living she settled in Houston where she was a registered nurse assistant. She was a longtime member of the Houston Midwest Lions Club serving on many committee positions. She is survived by her sons: Nicholas Erik Johansson and Peter Erik Johansson; sister: Hilda Ortiz; niece: Honey Ortiz: nephew: Emmanuel Ortiz and also surviving Hermie is here former husband and best friend Mr. Jan Johansson. A memorial service celebrating Hermie's life will be on Monday, June 25, 2012, at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway with visitation starting one hour prior to the service.
