GG was born in Converse, Texas on January 6, 1924 to Emilio and Maximina Fuentes and lived in Houston for most of her life along with her 8 siblings (Frederico, Emilio, Lupe, Arturo, Alfredo, Linda, Frank and Alicia). GG married her loving spouse Agapito and lived most of their adult lives raising their family in the East End side of Houston, Texas, better known as Magnolia.

In October of 2014 GG moved to Inez, Texas and lived with her daughter and son-in-law . GG’s biggest joy in life was spending time with her family and sharing her joy for cooking. She enjoyed providing her family with delicious meals made with her special touch and lots of love. She was well known by her family and extended family for her famous tamales and various other Mexican cuisine.
GG enjoyed helping her family and providing a helping hand whenever possible. She graciously cared for her siblings when in time of need and looking after both her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her influence and love is imprinted in her family and her memory will carry on for years to come.
May she rest in peace and know that she is loved by her family. Her impact in all of our lives will live on forever. May God watch over GG and know that we will always miss and love her.
Forever in Our Hearts, Her Loving Family

My dearest Madrina. My heart is heavy that you are no longer with us. Though I regret that I could not spend more time with you, I am comforted that you are resting in peace now with Tio Agapito. My love and condolences to the family who I know will miss you so much. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May God lift your spirits and keep you all in his light
