Sorry to hear the sad news.. My Dad often spoke highly of Otto and his family.

Dear cousins - it was always the highlight of our weekend when the Pechacek family came "a calling" to El Campo in the big camper. I can still smell the tobacco from Uncle Hilbert's pipe and taste those Shelby cookies he would bring.  The cousins from the big city and the country cousins had a grand time playing outside - baseball that Gary made us play, climbing trees, playing Monopoly or playing house in the former pig pen house.  Then maybe somebody would get hurt or in trouble so we would have to scatter for awhile and regroup later.  In later years Uncle Hilbert still liked to visit and see how the crops were growing.  We shared so much growing up with the Pechacek family - we felt even closer than cousins. We have laughed and cried together throughout the years as a close family.

Condolences to all the family in your loss of Hilbert.   He'll be saving a place for everyone in Heaven, and waiting for the next domino party.   God be with you all!
