Hoi Le

Hoi Le, 84, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at home. He left this world peacefully with the sound of his favorite music playing in the background, surrounded by his loving family. Born in 1938 and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam, Hoi graduated from the Vietnam National University, Hanoi - University of Languages and International Studies in 1961. He worked at the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam after his graduation, and later on served several terms as the Vietnam country representative for Tocontap - Saigon JSC, a subsidiary company of the Ministry of Trade of Vietnam, in the Soviet Union until he retired in 1997.

Hoi was preceded in death by his parents, two older brothers, and a younger sister. He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Nga Nguyen, daughter Huong Le and her husband Thang Do along with their three children Samuel Do, Simon Do, and Serena Do, as well as daughter Hien Le and her husband Khai Tran along with their two children Amelia Tran and Evelyn Tran, and a host of other cousins, nephews, nieces, family and friends.

He always maintained a positive, fun-loving spirit even during his final years battling illnesses. He received the best of care provided by doctors, nurses, hospital staff, hospice staff, and especially his family during his final days.

Hoi was a gentle, loving soul who was loved and cherished by all who knew him. He loved his family with all his heart and always went the extra mile to make sure that everyone was well taken care of. He lived his life to the fullest, one filled with love, laughter, adventures, good food, good drinks, good music, and the best of family and friends. He was his family's brightest light and biggest love. He left a lasting legacy and a lifetime of memories that will continue to live on forever.

A traditional prayer ceremony will be held from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by visitation from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2022 in the chapel at Texas Liberty Mausoleum - Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery - 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2022 in the chapel at Texas Liberty Mausoleum - Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery - 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.

Hoi will be cremated and laid to rest at the Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
