

Hope Ann was born on February 9, 1956, to John Farris and Ruby Faye Meloncon in Houston, Texas and was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and warmth enriched every life she touched. She grew up in Houston and graduated from Galena Park High School. A milestone in her life was marrying the love of her life Johnny Lee on December 31, 1985, and together they navigated life ups and downs, always keeping each other first.
Throughout her years she was employed by JCPenney, as a Customer Service Representative, and Houston Eye Associates as and Administrative Assistant. Her family was an important part of her life and whether sharing stories around the dinner table or lending a helping hand, Hope Ann brought light to many moments and left an unforgettable mark in our hearts.
On her journey, she also developed a love for community, sewing, knitting, quilting, cooking, and will be remembered by family and friends for her compassion and wisdom.
Hope Ann is survived by those who will forever cherish the lessons, laughter, and love shared between them, to include her devoted and loving husband of almost 41 years Johnny Lee, three children, Joseph Gearring of Humble, Texas, Dana (Anthony) Wilkins of Compton, California, and Steven (Kana) Gearring of US Navy - Japan, three sisters, Margaret Meloncon, Rebecca Adams, and Auronica Antoine, five brothers, Michael Meloncon, Mark Meloncon, Paul Meloncon, David Meloncon, James Meloncon, six grandchildren, Dominikka, Nicholas, Alexis, Joseph Jr., Anthony Jr., Kenshiro and two great grand children Kyrie,
and Christopher all whom were the light of her life,
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Hope was preceded in death by her paternal
grandparents, Josephy Clyde and Euronica
Meloncon, parents, John Farris Meloncon and
Ruby Faye Meloncon, and brother
Phillip Meloncon.
