Hortense Figueroa

Hortense was born on March 17, 1935, and lived a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family. She is preceded in death by her sons Albert and Roy Figueroa as well as her sister Berta Presas Cantù and is survived by her loving sister Beatrice Petra Presas and brother in law Butch Meyer and children Gloria Esparza, Henry Figueroa, Manuela and Scott Williams, David Figueroa, Daniel Figueroa, Leticia Figueroa, Stephen Figueroa, and Monica Figueroa. She was also the proud grandmother to 19 grandchildren, and 31+ great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and cherished deeply. Hortense's legacy of love will continue to live on through her children and their families, as well as the many lives she touched throughout her lifetime.

Hortense was a woman of strength, kindness, and warmth. She devoted her life to nurturing her family and supporting those around her with an open heart and a generous spirit. Her home was always a gathering place, where family and friends were welcomed with open arms.

She will be remembered for her passion of sports, her love for a pumpkin empanada and her long talks with her children. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

A memorial service for Hortense will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
